Ellas Hablan Código
Talent has no gender
The Project
Science without limits, future without bias.
An initiative by Generación Code and Eugenia Silva to promote scientific and technological vocations from an early age, combating gender bias and bringing the superpower of computational language to girls and boys with equal opportunities.
"Technology is no longer an advantage, it is essential.
I want to work for a future where boys and girls on equal terms can be the protagonists of change."
— Eugenia Silva
Computer science is the discipline with elements of science and engineering that encompasses several subjects.
Artificial intelligence is just one field within computer science; digital competence is merely the use of digital devices and software.
The study of computer science develops essential skills for professional performance; it enhances teamwork, analytical training, problem-solving, logical reasoning, and structured thinking. No young person should finish their education without knowing how to program.

Why?
From childhood, stereotypes reinforce that science and technology are “a man’s thing.”
57%
of young people (16-24 years old) believe that computing is for boys
In Spain,
1/10 computer scientists and 3/10 mathematicians are women
Causes of the gender gap in STEAM professions
▸ Influence of gender stereotypes that discourage them from taking an interest in STEAM-related fields.
▸ Lack of female role models to serve as inspiration.
▸ Invisible barriers and additional challenges, such as lack of support and the pressure of having to compete in male-dominated environments.
Causes of algorithmic bias and its impact on equity
▸ Algorithms learn and amplify our prejudices.
▸ Without gender diversity and diverse perspectives when creating algorithms, technology will not see all of us.
▸ One click can perpetuate centuries of inequality.
Solutions and paths to equity
→ More women in STEAM: promote education that is free from gender stereotype bias.
→ Training in artificial intelligence (AI) ethics: fair algorithms.
→ Implement regulations and periodic audits of algorithms to ensure they do not reproduce or amplify gender biases.
What we do
Empowering talent, offering opportunities.
Through communication campaigns with inspiring role models, conferences, and programming bootcamps, we bring the transformative power of computer science and STEAM careers closer to boys and girls. Our goal is to encourage female participation from an early age, demonstrating that technology is a superpower accessible to everyone.
We believe in the STEAM approach because it integrates creativity (Arts) with science and technology, promoting more inclusive, diverse, and human-centered innovation.
